First Down Teddy!

First Down Teddy! Our sweet little Teddy bear turned one and I came across the most ADORABLE football theme for his first birthday party!

For our fun photo booth area, I found this amazing stadium background HERE for under $17! It was actually pretty big - 5'x7' so we were able to easily fit in a few group shots! Don't mind the unwillingness of the subjects below!

For Teddy's outfit, I waited too long and the personalized one I originally ordered wasn't going to get here in time so I took things into my own hands and made it myself! Nothing that a plain onesie and a few iron-on pieces won't fix in a stitch! I bought mine from Hobby Lobby, but you can get the football iron on here, the letters here, and the number here! I also grabbed the sweetest little football leg warmers and opted for those instead of pants. There is such a short time that pants are optional and I soak up every opportunity with my babies!

After catching up with friends and letting all the babies play, we played a fun game that I saw one of my friends do with her baby for his first birthday! This is very similar to a Korean Doljanchi, but in this version we laid out a few options for Teddy to choose from and whatever object he picked would be his future career! We set out a toothbrush - dentist, airplane - pilot, soccer ball - athlete, hard hat - construction like daddy, a microscope - scientist, and a piano - musician.

It is fun to see what he went for - I for sure thought the bright red ball or the blue airplane, but no - he went for the toothbrush and sealed his future in dentistry! :D

After this it was time for cake smashing, and I think you will agree Teddy really enjoyed it! I normally make the cakes and cupcakes myself for these occasions but with two little ones I decided to not do that to myself and just got some fun football cupcakes and a cookie cake which went SOFAST!

We had a wonderful time celebrating this sweetie, and it was so nice seeing our friends, having fun with the babes, and enjoying the football theme to ready us for the big games coming up too!

Photo credit to my girl Kelly Daniels of Cosmic Creativ - she's hung up her camera and now y'all she is making the most brilliant art pieces and functional art - aka the prettiest cutting boards, serving trays, lazy susans and side tables starting at $65 if you're looking to add some sparkle and shine to your home! Check out her online shop here.

What did you do for your little one's first birthday? I love hearing about themes so please share in the comments below or find me on Instagram @kristintiffiny and feel free to share there!
